Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle
The handles made of uPVC/Composite are made from durable materials, and are perfect for doors with multiple points that need a heavy-duty design. The handles are inline, and they use the same spindle and screws to fix them. They are easily fitted on new or existing uPVC/Composite doors.
The handle can be placed and angled to suit all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles, this allows for the assurance of the quality of the finish and the performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever is also adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is particularly useful in doors with smaller door frames in which the cylinder is further back. A shorter lever can be used for doors with a latch that can be opened by the thumb inside.
Lever Pad
A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently to the lever type handles that are found on the majority of doors. These handle types are either operated by one spindle or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are generally used on UPVC double glazed doors and come in many variations & styles.
The handles are available in various finishes, including White Chrome, and Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to rust. This gives the handle a high performance and long-lasting durability for its intended purpose.
All UPVC levers for handles come with a spindle, screws and can be installed on a uPVC door. The backplate fixation centers of 211mm allow for a bigger handle, which is often beneficial when replacing a damaged or old multi-point door lock mechanism. These handle levers are also spring-loaded, which solves the issue of handles that slide out of their horizontal position when they are not being used.
When choosing the replacement UPVC handle and spindle it is essential to match the dimensions of the PZ on both the multipoint lock and the uPVC door. This measurement is often referred to as the "handle centre" or "cylinder centres and is an essential aspect of matching up the right handles.
Once you have the proper PZ size you will then be required to make sure that the lever pads and push pads are a suitable shape to fit the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compatible handles you need for your doors. They are typically round or square with an internal lever, and an external push pad.

Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks are found on uPVC and other types of doors. They operate with a key to unlock a cylinder case that is then revealed with pins that can be aligned to those in the lock body, permitting them to turn a revolving cam, thus opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins with both internal and external doors generally having different levels of security.
The selection of a cylinder is vital. It's dependent on the amount of use your doors and handles receive. Doors that are external, for instance are required to be fitted with cylinders that are more secure while doors inside can be secured using the standard cylinder. Certain cylinders are equipped with additional features that can improve security, for instance, anti-drill or anti bump properties.
To make sure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it should be measured correctly. The cylinder should be measured from the hole for fixing screws in the middle to the other end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. If you cannot measure with the lock in position, you can take it out of it. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon may be vulnerable to attacks, such as lock snapping, so it is essential that it's not too long.
The design of many modern cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These features are designed to minimize the risk of attack by causing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This can help to deflect an attack and protect your door.
Certain cylinders are constructed to resist snapping. This is an increasingly common method of attack on cylinders where the break line inside the lock is targeted with a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to be opened. This is much quicker and easier to achieve than opening multipoint locks and leaves no evidence of a burglary, which can impede the insurance claim.
Spring Cassette
This spring cassette is found inside the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to bring your multipoint lock handles to their resting position after using. Previously a lot of these types of handle did not have a spring built into them, and without it they are more likely to slide or drop once the locking mechanism is disengaged. This simple component is the best solution to solve this issue. It also stops your upvc door from becoming stuck in the open or closed position as they aren't easy to close manually.
These spring cassettes are specially designed to be used with sprung multipoint locks, they will not fit unsprung multipoint handles and you will require a custom hole cut into the backplate to allow them to fit (please see image for technical diagram). These cassettes can be used as a replacement for damaged or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They have a square cut out which accommodates an 8mm spindle and are available in a variety of.
